webpage-maker
« on: December 05, 2008, 10:46:18 AM »
Hi
I am currently trying out webpage maker, and have found it very good, I have built a website with it for a client, but I do not wish to list it here yet. the software is free to try at http://www.webpage-maker.com/ If you can use word you can use this software, I would say that it is better to use than csb, but thats just my opinion. the paid copy has approx 40 templates to choose from or you can use your own, it enables you to put text over pictures, or/and pictures over pictures in layers, it has an html box like csb for adding scripts, it also has some scripts to use, I think its better than CSB and very easy to use, once you stop thinking like like csb.

Great news!
We'll give it a look at and see how it does!  If others like it too, I will make a new part of the forum for it!

Can you be more specific about what you like?

You said you think it is better than CSB.  Can you tell us in what way?  Compare...CSB does this, webpage maker does that... etc.  Would be helpful to anyone considering trying it!

Hi all,
I am back for a quick update on webpage maker.
Its free to try and worth a go in my opinion, the best test is to try it out.
Here is a website I have just completed, everything is included in the software - but i did use "email me form" cos I like it..lol
spainrentals.net

The full version comes with 40 template pages, plus you can find lots more on the web, (I have approx 300) its easy to use, it has its own ftp like CSB, its drag and drop, its text boxes, it has some useful sripts already built in, you have a "insert your own HTML" like csb, it has preview, so you can see it all before you uploead the site like csb.

Well I just like to use it, try it.

Sam - I could let you have a full copy to try if you would like it "wink"

Best wishes
Graham

Looks straightforward. The text does not wrap properly though and looks like this:

"Spain is located in the southwest of Europe to the west of
France.
Capital: Madrid.  Population: 41M.  Currency=Euro.
GDP:$828B.
Main languages: Castilian (Spanish), Catalan.  Main industry:
textiles."

the last word of each 'sentence' is on the next line.

Wow! Precious domain name!

As I said, I adjusted the website name.  He had an asterisk (*) "little star" in the name which is gone now.  If you tried the link before, it took you to a site he does not have.
