 Sorry folks! I've been away again & it's going to happen more often until I finish this project so lets say the next runner-up has my blessing to choose a word to continue the game.

Here is a new word: elf

I wish I had an elf like Dobby to do things for me - from Harry Potter: Dobby was a house-elf who served the Malfoy family. During Harry Potter's second year at Hogwarts, he tried to warn the boy of the plot to have the Chamber of Secrets reopened.

Well,

Hole in one.
Ed has done it twice.
One of the words was a silly, not really intended to play the game: supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
The other was a serious attempt:  GLOBAL

I had started a research of start/end.  Finally posted it under FUN AND GAMES, reference.
Sometimes we had starts/stops with bad or repeat words so I did NOT do word counts!  But some of the games really lasted a long time.

We had REPEAT starter words and that shouldn't happen but no one caught it.  Now it will be easier to identify them.

swell

Actually, GLOBAL was not intentional. It just came from Globalscape, the beloved company that used to sell and support what was one of the best HTML generators, CSB, but has sadly departed and left us undecided as to which way to go, scuse the satirical comment. I've just checked and found 2 words that could have been used:
GLEBAL from the noun 'Gleba' = the sporogenous tissue forming the central part of the sporophore in certain fungi, and,
GLOMAL the adjective of 'glomus' e.g. of or involving a glomus. There are several definitions of Glomus but the one I prefer is = A small body surrounded by many nerve fibers, consisting of an anastomosis between fine arterioles and veins. Dictionary.com list many medical terms with glomus in the term.

I've seen 3 of the HarPot movies. 1. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, 2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, & 3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The movies are well made, a bit far fetched but they are full of imagination transporting one to a different world and the one's I saw all have happy endings. Highly recommended for most ages.

I have read all 7 of the books and I have seen all 5 of the HP movies so far.
I am dreading #6 as it is the darkest of the lot and the book version made me cry.
The last one with the final dramatic good vs evil battle that of course ends with some live some dead but overall a triumphant ending. Like the books more than the movie because they have even more detail but the movies have been very true to the series. Casting was EXACTLY on target! My favorite character is SNAPE.  He is really very complex (confirmed in the final book) and I find the actors voice so intense.  The series is creative fluff which gets heavier and darker as the books progress.  The themes in the series are really quite instructive since they deal with death and loss, good/evil, slavery, and discrimination.  Was so glad that Turtle was able to read the final book before he passed.  He was really looking forward to it.  I plan on getting the AUDIBLE versions too.....eventually so I can hear the books read to me as I drive!  Though I enjoy the series from Tolkien too, (Fellowship of the Rings), it is TOO heavy.

Well Tony, there are celebration events on all over Sydney, but I hate crowds! I have a good view of the city and the fireworks from my apartment so I just stayed home and we had our own celebration!

Hmmm, seems I may need to dream up a new word. Sami, Safari Woman....still got your heads in the dictionary?  ???
