Using Paypal on a website
« on: February 01, 2009, 12:44:45 PM »
As I have said before, I am managing a website for our youth baseball/softball organization using cutesitebuilder (v3).  How easy is it (or is it possible) to allow people to register their children on the website using paypal?

Thanks!

If you want someone to PAY a fee to you through the website, you set up a PAYPAL account using a verified email address.  Then you can create an interface for your situation.  Either make a button, or a payment page on their site, they give you a piece of code and you paste that into your web page using INSERT HTML feature in CSB.  FREE to set up. FREE to use.  They do take a % of each payment as their service fee so you will need to add that to the payment so you end up with the correct amount (and be sure to disclose that you have added an extra $x to cover transaction fee...).

You'll see that many of the CSB users have a PAYPAL interface for their websites.  Even Samisite has a donation interface (go to the samisite.com home page, scroll to the bottom to access it).

What would be the best way to track these payments?  What it would be is a registration for baseball/softball.  We would need them to fill out a registration form and then pay.  Would we need them to email the registration for to an email address and then "marry" it up to the paypal payment?  Or is there an easier way?

Thanks!
