Open Office Impress portion of the suite
« on: October 28, 2007, 06:41:18 PM »
openoffice.org/product/impress.html

I was investigating how people with little experience outside of using power point could make a presentation and turn it also into a flash file when I found this free suite.

I came in and found Sam's new post on Swift SWISH - looks interesting but I am wondering if anyone has used this or how you might see it as comparing to that aspect of it with the same capabilities in swift swish?

Its great for free either way! I think I will recommend it to the people who might need it that are currently using power point. They want to make shows for public presentations and to be easily able to convert them into flash files for the net. It says it will do that although I didn't see it demonstrated in their demo areas.

maybe, I made a very quick sample and it seemed to make a usable file.

it was a box - slide 1, circle - slide 2, star - slide 3

I didn't figure out how to make it change "slides" automatically in the browser, but it change the “slide” by clicking.

Swish is supposed to be very cool.
I'm short on cash or I'd nab that coupon Samantha offered.

Best of Luck,
