How do I insert a Dynamic Drive program?
« on: January 03, 2008, 08:44:46 PM »
I have CSB5 & use it's publishing feature (not the stand alone FTP).
When I look at dynamicdrives programs they have to insert in the <body> etc.
Using CSB5 and the insert HTML how do I do that?
Thanks
Arthur

Depends on which script you are trying to implement.
I demo MANY of the DD scripts on samisite.com, using Trellix and CSB.

Go to this page to see how I implemented the script, with screen prints and all to help explain. a script on DD and put the vertical slideshow into a CSB page.

Generally speaking, you would implement most scripts the same way:
- modify code to have ^GEMDIR/ in it (if necessary for photos, sounds, etc),
- place code into insert html where you want the .....slideshow, popup, etc,
- place second code (when necessary) either:
-- CSB5 in head section (right click page body, properties, page HTML tab, before </HEAD> field as shown here) OR
-- CSB3 & CSB4 as close to the top of the page as possible (still works in CSB5)
- place images sounds, etc into WEB COMPONENTS part of insert html
- publish.

If you want specific info, let us know which code you are trying to implement.

MOVED THREAD TO CSB SECTION FOR BETTER ORGANIZATION.

Sorry...have not had time to personally test THAT script.  Preparing a cd of images for a 50th birthday.
Will take a look tomorrow evening if you can hold out...

I posted three floating/falling scripts.  The one you specifically asked for was put on this page
The one I like best is on the one showing off my new animated floating image. Can you guess what it is  ;)

Thing is, the technique is EXACTLY the same as the pages I sent you to look at before.  The same technique works for MOST scripts.  So, instead of working on FORMS samples that we really DO NEED on samisite since the CSB forms are going away, or testing a new website program, I spent hours putting those pages together to demonstrate and comment on the scripts when it really wasn't needed because the technique was the SAME.  (limited time=stress=not happy)
