Link to e-mail question and how to add a hits counter
« on: January 17, 2009, 04:39:48 PM »
On our website I would like the ability for the user to click on an e-mail address and have it open their e-mail to compose a message with our e-mail address in the To:  How can this be accomplished?

Also, what is the best way to add a hits counter on my website?

Thanks so much!

A basic email link can be done in CSB.  Be aware that ANY EMAIL ADDRESS you put on the web will quickly become spammy.  That address will be found by spam harvesters.  So consider carefully if that's what you want to do.

If so, there are a couple things you can do..
1) Either put in text or an image then highlight it, right click and choose CREATE NAVIGATIONAL LINK.  When the box opens, choose mailto: followed directly by an email address.

2) Use a script to try to make it harder for the spam bots to get the email address.
