Don Herbert passes
« on: June 13, 2007, 08:17:42 AM »
Don Herbert - the one and only "Mr. Wizard" passed away yesterday after a long battle with cancer.

I remember watching his shows on our first television.  A Hallicrafters with a small (8 or 9 inch) round screen.

Ohhh no! I loved Mr Wizard.  :( I think watching his shows as a child helped me to have a serious interest in science and the mysteries of the world. My love of science and science fiction just wasn't normal for girls back in my day.  :o Thanks for sharing this. It brought back many childhood memories. He was a very important figure that made a difference in many lives.

Thanks again.

Thanks for posting about this.   I adjusted the original link so it would work.
