:welsign:  Glad to have you aboard! Are you using the ONLINE Trellix (if so, from which provider) or the version that is installed on your pc?

Sorry in took so long to respond I guess my back was needed to help someone move.

I am using the Trellix  builder at Domain Direct, Web.com and Tripod. They are all pretty much the same except for the number of templates available.

Thanks for the welcome,

Hi!
I'm Sue and have received so much help from Sami over the years with all sorts of Trellix and CSB versions and websites and "oops fixes".  :thankyousign: I visited here many times during the first months of Global pulling the plug on CSB, looking for suggestions to the "Now what do we do?" question.  Like many, I was getting to a point where I needed a site design that accepted html imports, but couldn't find any that measured up to CSB.

I've downloaded so many trial versions I can't even remember all of them, and still have not found any that are as easy to use or produce the results I want.  So......like all 'lost children', I'm running back home to 'Mom-Sami', yet again  :dogwalksm: for direction.  Thank you, Sami, for maintaining the safety net!

Yup.  Me too!  So far CSB is still my favorite. Hope you will share your experiences as you test new software and give us your opinions!  As time moves on, we will add more in the other alternative discussions. And maybe we can settle on one or two as best alternative...

Nice to have another long-term user join up!    :welsign:

Hi.
My name is Angela and I've been a Trellix/CSB5 for about 6+ years.  Thanks for having this site, Sami.  You are so very appreciated. And TIA to everyone who are patient enough to answer questions, assist with problems, and share their knowledge about CSB and other web software and design.
 :)

Ah Sam, It is bound to happen sooner or later. lol

This reminds me of how recently I found out that a member of one place I visit who's screen name is sluggo - was a female. I too was a little embarrassed to find that out after referring to sluggo as a he! lol And in America some of our names like Jackie, Chris and Pat may be used by either sex, so even knowing the correct spelling can sometimes leave you wondering. (Or even the nick name Sam - if we didn't already know you were the wonder woman of Web Mastering Ms. Samantha!) The name Catalin is not a familiar name here - but it is a very nice masculine name that I have never heard before and  I really like it! Catlin is a lesser used but at least some what familiar name. Maybe it was just one of those typos that you didn't notice because that is what you are more familiar with seeing.

And thinking about Chris and Pat took my mind away to that oh so funny Saturday Night Live Sketch where no one could figure out if Pat was a female or male and the office workers were so excited to hear Pat was bringing their significant other to the office party - only to discover that Chris was also just as hard to figure out. That remains one of my favorite comedic sketches of all time.

rofl

Catalin, I am glad to see that you have a nice sense of humor and are a forgiving soul. I think you will enjoy being here and I look forward to getting to know you better as I am sure we all do!

:D  I am a bad typist and did misspell his name.  But I did not assume gender.  :noshake:   And it is wonderful to add another person with a fun sense of humor to the board.

With a name like Samantha, I am often called Sam and Sami.  And if I told you my middle name you would REALLY laugh as it ALSO sounds like a male name. At the office, people on the phone are usually surprised if a female picks up when they are told to hold for SAM.  :D  My BROTHER's nickname is JAMIE, which in the USA is well known as both male and female name.  My mother was given tons of ribbing by friends and family because as toddlers when she would call Sami and Jamie, he was always assumed to be Sammy and I was assumed to be Jamie.  rofl

:) Hello Everybody! I'm Ruth aka BlueMoon.

I'm new to this forum, but not to CSB.  I found Trellix preinstalled on my PC a couple of years ago and loved it from the very first moment.  I upgraded to CSB 3.0 a little later and am working with it ever since.  I don't know, :-\ somehow I missed to upgrade to 5.0 before it was discontinued.  But 3.0 works fine for me and I'm happy as long as we will be able to use it.

This site has always been a great help and you have my greatest respect for putting it all together.  Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge!  It's appreciated very much.

Besides building my own websites I love everything art related, music and reading. I also make my own web graphics.

I'm looking forward to meeting new people and learning even more exciting stuff about about CSB.
Although I'm far from being an expert in CSB, I'll also be more than happy to help if I can.

Hi Ruth!  :welsign:
Glad you decided to come on board. :boogie:
Very nice job on your avatar drawing!  Thanks for telling us a bit about yourself.  Hope you stick around!

Lots of us found Trellix because it came with the machine or with Corel WordPerfect and stayed with it for the fun and simplicity.  Thank you for the kind words about the site. I hope to continue to expand the site to talk about other programs as we move forward. All in good time.... 8)

I'm sorry I haven't posted so far. :-[ I'm still busy reading and besides we'll move out of our appartment on Monday. And there's still so much to do... *sigh*. I know, pretty bad timing *lol*. I will also be without my PC for at least 6 weeks. :'( Don't know how to survive this. But once we are settled again, I'll post more.

Aloha Ruth - Welcome to Sam's site. I hope your moving is going well. 6 weeks with no computer  :ss-shocked: I wouldn't know how to act! lol Very, very nice avatar!!! I haven't had time to see if you listed your site yet but I am interested in seeing more of your art work especially. I had Trellix included with a Dell package, I don't know how many years ago now, and that is also how I came to be involved here after many years of using the versions through 5. You are in very good company in here   :welsign:

Just joined after 5 years happily using CSB 4 with no real problems.  However with a new notebook and Windows Vista the problems just started -  thats progress!!  But thanks to Samantha my publishing problem has now been solved.  See my post on the CSB part of the forum.

Hopefully as we all move forward, we'll be able to support other software too, but CSB is definitely our main common thread.
