When I was a kid, I used to throw stones on a neighbours roof, to check if they were home, before climbing over the fence to the forbidden fruit trees!  :-[

I can remember a lot of "passion" in the back seat of the school bus, and later, in the back seat of my car.  >:D

I was living in the house that had a yard with apple trees, bing cherries, purple and yellow plums, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and BIG blue/pink hydranga flower bushes.  Great yard attached to a beautiful logging hill. Wonderful place to play. My avatar is the logging hill behind the house I lived in.

I always found taxi drivers a great source of news and information when visiting a new place - but with caution, especially in developing countries where taxi drivers are often out to rip you off.

Tony, did your dad like to "gossip" with his passengers?

stories

Spent many hours in the back of taxi when visiting Washington DC. Nice lady driver took 2 young girls around to see the sights and waited for us. Didn't charge us (off duty). She wanted us to be safe on our touring, afraid we would get in trouble.

I remember that a 69 mustang has a very hard center area in the back seat! Not comfortable for riding 3 across, let alone anything else.

I never knew anything about it Rick, the truth is that I never saw him "on duty". In the other hand, his Spanish was very bad ... I do not think he spoke a lot with his passengers.

No Rick, that sitcom is not shown here.

Seems to be really funny. I'll look for subtitles, that British accent is too much for me  :D

Could not pick a favorite character...all are funny. Hyacinth, Daisy, Onslow, even the poor harassed husband and vicar.

 :offtopic:

I should definitely have a problem with the "new" graphic card... Do you remember when I changed it because a blown capacitor on the original board? Well, since then my machine is freezing every now and then (the blue screen says that the PC was trapped in an infinite loop caused by file nv4_disp). I have not been able to see a full episode of the show without hanging up, and sometimes it goes well for a week or two without problems.  ???
I have done EVERYTHING read and found on the web trying to solve the problem... nada. The board is an Nvidia EN8400GS SILENT.
I will try another board as soon as have time to do it.

lucky

(because he still has all his feet!)

I had a bad NVidia card that was incompatible with PcAnywhere a while back. It used to cause my system to "blink". Temporary freezes, take screen to black, then come back like nothing happened. I would see/experience it and no one else did. Drove me nuts till I uninstalled all remote connection software, reseated the graphics card, updated graphic driver then reinstalled remote software again. Finally fixed issue.

It's a nightmare dealing with graphic issues. Best of luck Tony!!! :luck: :flowers:

I think I  have done everything they have suggested me, driver, patches, cleaning, everything! The best solution will be replacing the board.

Never heard of that.  :-\

Anyone see the showtime series THE TUDORS?  I have an amazon account that has not expired yet so I get to see lots of videos/movies for free.  They added all the star trek series  :boogie: and lots more. I just finished the first season of THE TUDORS and it is very beautifully made. Decent acting but fabulous costumes and jewelry. Wow. Would love to have that budget. The cost of the fabric alone....3 years left to watch...
