mailinator.com is almost too good to be true. I can't begin to say how many times I have used this service to join some sort of temp site to look at an article or something like that. I have also used it for things like craigs list contacts and such. Just thought I would pass it on if you haven't discovered it yet.
It is so easy there is nothing to do but choose any name and give it as an address ending with @mailinator.com or a couple of other endings they give you. You don't have to join or anything. Then just plug in that address to read any mail that comes to it. You wouldnt' want to use it for sensitive personal things but it has really cut down on the spam that usually comes from having to join any number of sites.
