Several great sound sites are now being renovated so I have not posted links
I collect wav sound files.   Here's just a few of my favorites.  
(I often change out the system sounds on my machine so incoming messages, emails, system faults, etc. can have different sounds.)

To hear the sound:   left click on link, then if prompted, chose "Open"
To save the sound:  right click on the link, then chose "Save Target As"
